When I went on vacation for a week, I lent the card to a friend (heavy gamer) so he could test it on his EVGA board. I have tried different cables with no resolution. I've tried using both DisplayPort and HDMI with no resolution. I have tried the card in multiple slots with no resolution. If they have anything new to offer, I'll post back.
I've tried older nVidia drivers with no resolution.Īny ideas? I just opened a ticket with Asus support. I've tried older BIOS as well with no resolution. My drivers, chipset and BIOS are all the most recent. This leads me to believe it is not the graphics card. When I brought it home, I immediately began having the same issue. Multiple restarts always eventually leads to success. More often then not, I get the black screen with a solid red VGA led on board. My symptoms are intermittent, sometimes the PC starts up with no issues.
There has been a lot of good info in this thread and a lot of knowledgeable people, so hopefully we'll be able to nail down a resolution.Īs background, I've been an IT pro for 15 years this year and I have always built my own gaming rigs. I signed up just to post here about this issue. If anyone has anything I may try, I would like to check it out I thought about changing out the Powersupply as that could still be my problem from the Z87-G45 MSI but reading up on that board and I see people with similar problems. So at this point I am lost on what I should do about this.
I noticed in my last install that after installing the Graphics Driver, the machine came up fine, it was when I install Intel's Chipset driver that my machine started to fail on displaying anything. The only thing I can think of at this time is that the Intel Chipset Driver is that cause of these problems. I've disabled everything on board except LAN. I've cleared the CMOS, set everything back up. I cannot get anything to display to display at all. I've tried multiple re-installs of Windows. My machine will start, you can hear the Windows Chime and then nothing on the ether screen. My Specs are followingĢ x Western Digital 1TB Blue Drives 64MB CacheĪfter installing the motherboard into my case and booting up, setting up the bios and installing Windows 7 I'm constantly running into Black screens at start up. Just recently I purchased a Z97-A from Asus.
Thought it was Memory and RMA'd to get a matching set but that is working and tests just fine. I'll lose drives and other odd behavior with this motherboard. Long story short, I'm replacing a MSI Z87-G45 Board that continues to bluescreen on me for no apparent reason. It's working fine since then.I've never encountered so many stupid problems with trying to build a new machine that runs correctly.
The only thing that worked was to update the Mouse driver and ensure Intel's Bluetooth driver is installed. Had the same thing with my Logitech M705 on Windows 10. I have other laptop Asus ROG and the mouse works ok, any time. Update all drivers recommended, and lasting update my windows 10 to 11 (hopeful that my issue was solved, and it was not. I had change the power management option on the Bluetooth driver and bluetooth USB windows servides but is not works or fix it. I have tried all the usual solutions - unpairing and repairing the mouse, uninstalling the Bluetooth driver and reinstalling it. The cursor is frozen even for the trackpad.
I checked with cps testand found it stays frozen for a few seconds (usually 5 seconds) and then it starts working again. In fact, I have used this one a lot of months, however from the last 45 days when I use the Bluetooth mouse (as well a Microsoft 3600 bluetooth mouse), the cursor freezes every few seconds. Would like to use my Logitech MX Master 2S Bluetooth mouse with the laptop.
